Wes Stone

Bio

Coach Stone serves as the Head Football Coach and Business Marketing teacher. He is a 1995 graduate of South Pittsburg High School where he was a starting offensive lineman on the 1994 state championship team. He was an assistant on the coaching staff of the 2007 & 2010 state championship teams, as well as the state runner up teams in 2009, 2011, 2013, & 2020. He received his Bachelors Degree in Education in 2001 from UTC, Masters Degree from Cumberland University, and Ed.S in Administration & Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Coach Stone and his wife Glenna have four sons, Jake (30), (wife-Katie, & granddaughters-Kollins & Ellison), Jared (23), Jace (19) and Jackson (14). He enters his 5th season as the head coach at his alma mater. Coach Stone has lead the team to the 2021, 2023 & 2025 State Championship and a 2024 State Runner Up finish since taking over the program. This will be Coach Stone’s 30th season overall coaching with 27 of those coming at South Pittsburg as both a middle school and high school coach.
